Finding the Mode
In a set of numbers, the mode is the number that appears most often. For example, in the set (3, 3, 5), the mode is 3, because it appears twice while 5 only appears once.
- A set may have more than one mode. For instance, the set (3, 4, 4, 5, 5) has two modes: 4 and 5.
- If you are presented with a large set of numbers, it may be helpful to order them from least to greatest before finding the mode.
